TWAS-NCP Fellowships for Visiting Scholarship at National Centre for Physics, Pakistan


Visiting Fellowship for Scientists from Developing Countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to pursue Advanced Research in Natural Sciences, Pakistan 2012


Applicants for these Fellowships must meet the following criteria:

  • be a maximum age of 55 years on 31 December of the application year; be permanent residents in a developing country (other than Pakistan);
  • must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in Pakistan or any developed country;
  • must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in Pakistan or any developed country;
  • hold a PhD degree in a field of the natural sciences and a regular research assignment with at least five years of postdoctoral research experience;
  • be regularly employed in a developing country (other than Pakistan) and hold a research assignment there;
  • provide a certificate of good health from a qualified medical doctor

Scholarship Description: TWAS-NCP Visiting Researcher Fellowships in one of the fields of physics are tenable for a minimum period of one month to a maximum of three months at the departments and laboratories of the National Centre for Physics (NCP)The fellowship is offered in one of the following fields of physics: Plasma Physics, High Energy Physics, Quantum Information, Applications of Ion Beam Techniques using Tandem Accelerator (5MV), Earthquake Studies, Atomic Physics & Spectroscopy, Modeling, Simulation & Computing, Astrophysics & Cosmology, Nano Sciences (Catalysis & Surface Sciences, Nano Material Fabrication & Applications, Nano Biotechnology, Nano Medicines), Vacuum Science & Technology (Vacuum Standards, Vacuum Coating & Material).
